Mars Civilization

Walk the scarlet dunes. Explore colossal canyons, scale the solar system's tallest volcano, and experience humanity's first multi-planetary settlement.

The Red Planet

Mars is the fourth planet from the Sun and the most explored world in our solar system. Named after the Roman god of war due to its reddish appearance, Mars owes its distinct coloration to iron oxide (rust) covering its surface.

SpaceY has established fully self-sustaining domes across the Martian landscape. Travelers can stand in the shadows of Olympus Mons—a shield volcano three times the height of Mount Everest—or hike through Valles Marineris, a canyon system that spans the width of the United States. With a thin carbon dioxide atmosphere and a day length very similar to Earth's (24 hours and 37 minutes), Mars has become the cornerstone of commercial space exploration and colonization.
